Celebrating the Woman You Are in 2025 + Making Room for Who You’re Becoming in 2026
Happy December!
A while ago, my executive coach asked me a question that's followed me everywhere:
“What would it look like for you to move with more pre-understanding?”
At first, I was lowkey confused . But the more I sat with it, the more I realized she was asking about my pre-understanding of my yes— of my time, my energy, my resources, and my capacity.
Interestingly, for some of us, this time of year can make our yeses even heavier.
And yet underneath all of that, a quiet truth many of us carry as we reflect on the past year and prepare for a new year:
“I want clarity around my yes (or no)… but I don't have the time, stillness, or emotional space to find it.”
I totally get it. Clarity can feel like a luxury.
But here's what this year has also taught me:
Clarity is less something you create, and more something you make room for. It's incremental. It's born from moments of rest, reflection, and the right question at the right time.
It's not “new year, new you.”
It's slowing down to notice where your values are pointing you
and having the courage (sometimes even in the face of fear) to take the next step. It's communal and often needs witnesses.
Think of clarity like a GPS:
You don't control every detour,
but we do get a say in the direction our lives are moving in.
And when we don't pause long enough to welcome clarity, we run a real risk: We drift into someone else's vision for our lives.
From conversations I've had with women in their 20s through their 80s, another truth I've heard over and over again:
Most of us cannot step into 2026 carrying everything we carried in 2025.
Something has to release.
Something has to realign.
What if this season is an invitation to move from wishing for clarity to preparing a life that clarity can actually find?
Your 2026 self is already breathing easier
because of the intention you're making space for today.
