Arrival

What if this year isn't asking you to do more, but to listen more closely?

Happy New Year!

How is this new year meeting you so far?

As it's been settling in, the question above is what I've been reflecting on.

For so long, I've been deeply goal-oriented. Goals gave me something to reach for and measure against. And they still matter. But in this season, I'm noticing I need something gentler to lead the way.

Goals tell us where we're trying to go.
Priorities help us decide what deserves our energy first.
Direction helps us stay aligned as life unfolds, especially when things shift.

And listening is what helps us name our priorities and sense our direction, even when the path isn't fully clear.

This shift is a process, but each step can feel a bit more freeing.

Not pressure on what should be focused on.
Not pressure on what should be optimized.

But what actually feels supportive and steady right now?

As I shared last month, Hey Auntie! is entering a strategic pause this year, not to step away, but to move more slowly and with greater care, and listen deeply so our work can be sustained over time. This pause is inviting me to learn, and I do mean learn , how to release the pressure to have everything mapped out and instead pay attention to what feels nourishing, honest, and true.

That's the spirit I'm holding as we enter this year together.

What if this year isn't asking you to become a new person?

What if it's simply asking you to listen more closely to yourself?

I'm grateful to be in community with you as we do this together.
